This well kept, characterful cottage stands in the centre of the quiet, pretty village of Gunnerside in Upper Swaledale. The surrounding hills and moors make excellent walking country and have been made famous in the James Herriot series. Alternatively, the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn depict a different side of Dales life and offer a host of traditional shops. Ideally located for day trips to York, with its Gothic Minster, Hadrian's Wall and spectacular historic houses such as Castle Howard. Shop 4 miles, pub 150 yards. Ground floor: Spacious dining kitchen, 3 steps to lounge with exposed beams & inglenook with woodburning stove.
