The market town of Pickering, gateway to the North York Moors National Park and terminus of the moors steam railway, 20 miles. Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are all within 40 miles. Castle Howard, 10 miles. Clifton Moor with bowling and cinema complex, 6 miles. Shop 5 miles, pub/restaurants 2 miles.
