Reached by a 200 yard private drive, they make an excellent base for visiting the city, whilst returning to a country retreat. Castle Howard with open air summer concerts, 10 miles and the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway at Pickering, 25 miles which crosses the beautiful heather clad moors to Goathland (the Aidensfield of 'Heartbeat') and Grosmont.
