In spring and early summer the hedgerows around The Barnyard are dense with wild flowers. The valley setting is peaceful and attractive with the two storey cottages having reversed accommodation to allow guests to enjoy views from the upstairs open-plan living areas. Grounds are secluded with lawns and private patios for sunbathing and picnicking. There is a games room with snooker table, dartboard, puzzles and a small library. The main farmhouse offers spacious, and a very good standard of accommodation with a private drive and large gardens. The Barnyard is ideally situated for both family seaside holidays and country breaks. Portreath's sandy beach and walks on the North Cornwall cliffs are just a mile away. A 20 minute drive takes you to St Ives, Falmouth, Newquay, Penzance or Truro. With Tehidy Golf Club, tennis court and a leisure centre on the doorstep there is a great choice of things to do and places to go. Shop and pub within 1 mile. The Barnyard was imaginatively converted from a traditional range of farm buildings which have been refurbished, with exposed beams, natural pine doors and stairs the cottages retain much of their rustic character, whilst the owners have taken great care to provide a high standards of comfort - kitchens and bathrooms are well appointed.
