Only 2 miles from York, yet surrounded by open farming country, this magnificent holiday cottage has been built to very exacting standards. Featuring original hand clamped bricks and oak floors, it is beautifully decorated and furnished. The village is just a 5 minute drive from the centre of York, its pretty cobbled streets and alleys offer a variety of shops, inns and restaurants, York Minster, the Viking Centre and The Railway and Castle Museums. Ghost tours take place every night around the old alleys and snickleways. The village has two pubs, banks, a post office and newsagent, a children's play park, a delicatessen, and a bus service to York every 10 - 15 minutes.
