The Old Bakery dates back to the 17th century with a Victorian addition that once formed a shop front, so the property is surprisingly spacious and full of character interest. Semi-detached, it lies in the heart of the village of Brading with its historic church, stocks and bullring, Waxworks Museum and Antique Doll/Toy museum. There are tearooms and pubs serving food, a fish and chip shop, general store open until late every day, and a post office. The larger towns of Ryde and Sandown are a 5-10 minute drive away, with sandy beaches and many seafront attractions. Open countryside is only a 2 minute walk from the house.
