Golf and riding are available locally and there is racing at York, Thirsk and Ripon. Easingwold, 3 miles, is a picturesque Georgian market town with good shopping, restaurants and pubs. There is a local pub/restaurant serving good food, and where children are welcome, and tennis is available in village. Shop 2 miles, pub 1/2 mile.
