Located in St Marychurch and boasting sea views, this detached property makes the ideal base for a family holiday. Whether for a celebration or families holidaying together this property is central to a whole host of activities. It has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. There is a separate annexe for two, which has a W.C. but no bathroom, therefore guests staying here would need to use the one in main house. Situated in a quiet no-through-road and just a short stroll from Babbacombe, the historic village of St Marychurch boasts a timeless charm. The pretty, Victorian-style pedestrianised precinct of St Marychurch offers a wide choice of independently owned shops and boutiques. There is a beautifully landscaped golf course with spectacular views out to sea. Babbacombe Downs can be reached by foot up a very steep, wooded lane, or there is a gentler ascent on the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway. One of only a few original working funicular railways, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff face since 1926. Nearby is Babbacombe Model Village, where thousands of miniature buildings and people capture the essence of all things British. Numerous tea rooms and eateries are dotted along the clifftop overlooking the stunning Babbacombe Downs. No visit to the area would be complete without indulging in traditional cream teas, while the area also boasts several award-winning fish and chip shops. Kents Cavern, one of Torquay’s oldest attractions, is approximately 1 mile. Torquay harbour and shops are approximately 1½ miles and many sea cruises are available from here. Alternatively take a trip to the old fishing port of Brixham, go mackerel fishing or visit the Sealife Centre. Further afield, Exeter or Plymouth are both just 20 minutes away by car.
