Rocknell Manor Farm at TivertonRocknell Manor Farm
Tiverton

Rockwell Manor Farm is a secluded detached house, decorated and furnished to a very good standard, which oozes charm. Tastefully updated, the house retains its character features, including beams, inglenook fireplace and large great hall with wood-burning stove. Its beautiful interior and peaceful garden make it perfect for families who wish to holiday together or for friends who wish to reunite. Adjacent to the owner’s home and set within 7 acres of shared grounds, including a very old cider apple orchard and a leat running through the back of the property, this is a wonderful place for children to roam. There are free range chickens and sheep also wandering around. Rockwell is very spacious and has a games room with a small snooker table. Rockwell Manor Farm has its roots in the past; earliest records of a house on the site go back to 958. The current building dates from the late 16th century, and until recently it was a working farm with its own mill and granary, but in the past it housed a group of nuns. The house is ideally situated for those who enjoy walking, with easy access onto the Grand Western Canal towpath leading to Tiverton. The outstanding beauty of Exmoor Forest and the North Devon coastline are just a short drive away together with a number of historic houses and gardens. Being a short drive from the M5 makes this an easy option for those who wish to explore Devon and Somerset. There is so much to do including golf, horse riding, surfing, bird-watching, walking and letter boxing (a Dartmoor pastime). Crealy Adventure Park is 10 miles, and Diggerland is a mere 8 miles.
