Alta Lyn Barns are set in a glorious position with far reaching views out to the Bristol Channel, set high up in Lynton on an alpaca stud farm. These three properties are part of a conversion of barns and workshop which offers courses on arts and crafts, alpaca experience and hand spinning and weaving. The holiday cottages have been fully restored with exposed beams and rafters. Set amongst some of the most glorious scenery to be found in Devon, plenty of footpaths and coastal walks can be taken from the cottages, which are on Exmoor National Park. Walk through the heather; look out for red deer, ponies and buzzards. Take a trip into Dunster, 10 miles, and visit the historic yarn market and castle. Minehead, with its sandy beach, is 18 miles. Take in all the small villages close by, such as Blue Anchor, Watchet and Old Cleave and the many National Trust properties waiting to be explored.
