These tasteful holiday apartments, set over two floors, are set in the heart of the magical town of Alnwick. Once The Corn Exhange Buildings built in 1862, now comfortable apartments set through an archway on Bondgate, within a historic cobbled area of the high street. Refurbished in 2008, these well placed properties are close to the famous majestic castle (used in the Harry Potter and Braveheart films) and the gardens. These are an ideal base from which to tour the many fine castles, villages and attractions that Northumberland has to offer. Set in a pleasant flower filled private courtyard area some have sitting out areas in which to relax and unwind. Many fine golf courses and activities are nearby. Alnwick was voted one of the best places in the UK to live and is centrally located to travel further north and visit Berwick-upon-Tweed with its medieval stone walls or the border. Head south to historic Newcastle with its newly regenerated quayside, fine shops, galleries and restaurants. Travel east over to Bamburgh or Seahouses and visit the Farne Islands taking in the fine Northumberland Heritage Coastal Route with miles of sandy beaches and rugged coastline. Head west over to the Northumberland National Park area where vast moorlands and tiny villages await. Whether taking time for a short break or longer, visitors will want to return to Northumberland again and again.
