Higher Farm is well located in the quiet, picturesque village of Martin within a conservation area and on the edge of Martin Down National Nature Reserve. These two single-storey barn conversions, adjoining one another, were formerly the saddle room and stables for the small farm and have been transformed into very comfortable holiday accommodation with a modern, light and airy feel. The village of Martin is set in an area known as Cranborne Chase and the West Wiltshire Downs, an AONB. The medieval city of Salisbury, 8 miles, has its famous cathedral spire and close, individual shops, pubs and restaurants, a theatre and a cinema which is housed in the old wool market. The small market town of Fordingbridge is 6 miles and is known for its famous medieval stone bridge and fine arches; it boasts plenty of shops, pubs and cafes, or enjoy a walk along the river.
