Private path to beach_This detached mid 19th century fisherman’s house is located behind the sandhills with its own private path to the beach (shown in photograph on the right). It is only a few minutes walk from the village centre and Chapel Point. This character holiday cottage with pine latch doors has double glazing throughout and is ideal for friends and families wanting to share. The sandy beach is brilliant for sandcastles whilst the permanent ’promenade’ makes beach walking easy for all ages. There are many places to visit nearby including Skegness, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve and Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells. The Lincolnshire Wolds (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) offers good walking and a visit to Louth and the antique centre of Horncastle is recommended. The city of Lincoln is only an hour away. Other interesting day trips include the Deep aquarium in Hull, the Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby and several National Trust properties. Relaxing in the sheltered garden is also a popular option.
