Basford is an ideal area for exploring the great outdoors in the Southern Peak District and Staffordshire Moorlands, with Manifold Valley and the Roaches nearby. The Potteries, Churnet Valley and Dovedale are all within a 12 mile radius. Alton Towers is a 10-minute drive. Market towns such as Ashbourne, Cheadle, Leek, Bakewell, Stone and Uttoxeter are all a short drive away.
