An idyllic country getaway, this beautiful, 5-bedroomed, detached country house is perfectly suited for a holiday get-together with friends and family. Its setting is wonderful and guests can sit in the large garden with rolling lawns, surrounded by 5 acres of fields grazed by horses. With views towards the dramatic landscape of the Malvern Hills, it lies outside the pretty village of Hanley Swan where the lily-covered pond, the well-tended village green and the timber-beamed local pub paint a quintessentially English scene. The spacious house dates in part from the 16th century and during its restoration, great care was taken to preserve and enhance its original elements whilst incorporating up-to-the-minute features.<br />There is a wide range of leisure pursuits available locally, with a choice of walking, cycling, horse riding, horse racing, kayaking, boating, swimming and dry skiing as well as theatres, cinemas, pubs and restaurants. In addition, the Three Counties Showground is just 5 minutes away.<br />There is also good touring to be enjoyed in unspoilt countryside - Upton-on-Severn (famous for its annual international jazz festival), Malvern and the market town of Ledbury are all within 10 miles. Close by is the spa town of Cheltenham with its famous racecourse and majestic shopping promenade, as well as the cathedral cities of Hereford and Worcester. The Brecon Beacons, the Wye Valley and the Cotswolds are all within easy reach, as is Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company.
