Tubbs Mill House (TS4) is 300 years old and was once the main house to the working mill, the remains of which are situated in the adjoining paddock. The house sits alone at the bottom of the valley bordered by the River Luney and the old mill leat which supplied the water power for the mill. Tree Tops (TS3) is a beautifully presented timber cabin - a perfect holiday retreat for two. Tubbs Mill offers perfect peace and seclusion far off the beaten track. The garden winds its way along the banks of the river, home to brown trout, which guests can fish for. Although secluded, the properties are situated only one mile from the South West Coast Path and spectacular walks can be enjoyed along with equally wonderful inland walks to cater for all tastes. The area is one of the most picturesque in Cornwall and is set in a designated AONB. Wildlife abounds in the area such as badgers and buzzards. A beautiful sheltered beach at Caerhays provides the perfect location for families with rock pools and fine sand. Gorran Haven and Port Mellon, both close by, also have lovely beaches. The area lends itself to exploring Cornwall as it is situated close to the Roseland Peninsula. Some of the county’s finest gardens and old country houses are all within easy driving distance. The pretty villages of Mevagissey, St Mawes, Tregony and Veryan, famous for its roundhouses, are all close by. Truro is easily reached and still has an olde worlde charm with narrow cobbled streets, individual shops and a wide range of restaurants as well as a theatre and cinema.
